Hualien
I had been to Taroko Gorge in Hualien back in 2010 but Allison had never been so we planned a trip over the long holiday weekend. Taiwan is divided by a massive mountain range running north/south down the center of the island. Hualien is located on the less populated eastern side of Taiwan. Tainan is located on the southwest coast and Taichung, where Allison lived, is on the west coast right in the middle. It is hard to keep track of the days. For some reason it feels like I have already been here for a couple of weeks when this is really only the 4th day. I guess it is because I have done so much every day. We usually go for a morning bike ride around 6:00 am, train from 9:00 am to 4:00 or 5:00 pm and then we usually go bike around some more. on Tuesday we went to the night market.
