Saturday, July 24 I went with Lien, Thomas, and his daughter Lily to Sanyi, a city famous for wood carvings. We went to a couple of temples and walked down the main street of the city.

Sunday, July 18th 2010. Spent the day with Thomas and his family at the Dajia river and a Taoist temple.

Short visit to Taipei on Saturday the 17th of July. We spent a few hours at the Chiang Kai-Shek memorial and then went to Taipei 101, the 2nd tallest building in the world. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go to the top... next time.

July 11th, 2010 in Changhua city. We first went to a Confucius temple and then spent the rest of the day at Buddha park. This place is amazing. Much cooler than Fengyuan.

Spent the 4th of July (not a holiday here) in Taichung, the 3rd largest city in Taiwan.

My first week in Taiwan. Arriving in Taipei, taking the bus to Fengyuan, shopping, and exploring.
